We recently had the privilege of doing a post-wedding session in the beautiful city of Lisbon. In this blog post, we’ll take you on a visual journey through the cobblestone streets, charming nooks and stunning landscapes we captured in this unforgettable session.
WHY CHOOSE LISBON?
The choice of Lisbon as the setting for this post-wedding session was made together with the couple. To begin with, the city captivated us with the incredible diversity of landscapes and locations it offers, from the narrow cobbled streets of Alfama to the impressive panoramic views from the city’s viewpoints. Furthermore, Lisbon is a city that, due to its location, climate and environment, meets all the conditions to maintain a perfect balance between having a good photo session and providing a great experience to the couple. We made sure that every moment, from preparation to the last click of the camera, was infused with the essence of the couple. We explore the most emblematic corners of Lisbon together, sharing laughter, stories and creating special memories. For us, the post-wedding session is not just about the photographs, but about living a unique adventure with the bride and groom and capturing the true essence of their love in each image.

EMBLEMATIC PLACES
During our post-wedding session in Lisbon, we explored several iconic locations that offered stunning views and unique photography possibilities. We begin our journey in the majestic Plaza del Comercio, with its imposing architecture and wide open spaces facing the Tagus River. This iconic setting allowed us to capture images full of grandeur and elegance, highlighting the architectural beauty and historical surroundings of the city.
We continue our tour to the Mirador de Santa Lucía, a charming place that offers panoramic views of the rooftops of Lisbon and the Tagus River. The combination of the narrow cobblestone streets, the colorful facades and the infinite horizon created a magical atmosphere that was captured in our photographs.
Another emblematic place we visited was the Elevador de Santa Justa, an impressive wrought iron structure that offers panoramic views from its upper viewpoint. We took advantage of this dizzying setting to capture striking images of the couple, playing with lines and heights to create visually interesting and dramatic compositions.
Additionally, the MAAT Museum with its modern facilities and strategic location next to the Tagus River, offered a unique perspective of the famous 25 de Abril Bridge. We used this combination of contemporary art and iconic architecture to create images that fused elegance and avant-garde, capturing the dynamic spirit of Lisbon.
ALFAMA NEIGHBORHOOD
Exploring the picturesque neighborhood of Alfama was one of the most rewarding experiences during our post-wedding session in Lisbon and that is why we dedicated a separate section to it in this post. We love to look for unique backgrounds and settings that are a little far from the typical and that reflect the personality of the couple. Alfama turned out to be the perfect place for it.
Its narrow cobblestone streets, colorful buildings and traditional charm provided us with an exceptional backdrop to capture special moments. Between laughter and complicity, we entered the winding streets, discovering hidden corners, facades covered in tiles and cobbled staircases that transported us to the essence of Lisbon. Every corner offered us a unique opportunity to create authentic and charming images. The mix of traditional architecture, plant-filled patios and charming details allowed us to capture the romantic and bohemian essence of the couple, adding a special touch to their session.
Without a doubt, Alfama became a unique gem in our visual journey, and we are delighted to have had the opportunity to capture its magic in each photograph.
